SLM Copenhagen is a s/m and fetish club for men who are into particular kinds of clothes and equipment. So it is important that you, as a member or visitor of the club, to some degree practice those fetishes too.
For this reason SLM Copenhagen has a dresscode:
Leather, rubber, uniform, army, skinhead, construction, denim, naked/jock strap, sportswear.
Heavy black leather forms the basis of the whole leather scene. It can be motorcycle gear – which you can also get in colours other than black – different kinds of uniforms made out of leather, or a leather jacket and leather trousers. A classic is a pair of black chaps over jeans. Black boots or a harness are also traditional parts of the leather outfit.
Rubber or latex wear is produced in many designs and shapes and goes really well with “wet” activities such as golden shower. Rubber can be anything from heavy industrial protection gear to a pair of small shorts or a tight t-shirt. Lots of normal clothes can also be bought as rubber, e.g. trousers, uniform shirts, bomber jackets, chaps and wrestling suits. And then there are all the accessories: waders, rubber boots, gloves, and last but not least the gas mask.
Who can say no to a man in uniform? Uniform can be uniforms from the military, the police or for example a security company. What’s important is that you look like someone who won’t take no for an answer.
Camouflage or combat gear from the military is very popular. Today you can buy many different kinds of fashionable clothes made of camouflage fabric, but not all of it complies with the SLM Copenhagen dress code. The army dress code is the sort of gear that soldiers wear, e.g. camouflage trousers and an army vest or shirt.
First of all: to be a skinhead means very short hair on your head. Apart from that, typical skinhead gear is a polo shirt from Lonsdale or Fred Perry, a pair of bleached jeans and a bomber jacket. Braces and long 20-30 hole boots are an extra plus.
Construction is work wear, from construction industry, earth work, workmen or farming.
Traditional, masculine denim and not the latest street fashion denim. For example jeans, a vest or a jacket are acceptable, given that the overall impression is ok
If you don’t have anything to wear, you can always be naked. To be partly or completely naked is ok at SLM Copenhagen, but you must always wear boots or shoes for safety reasons.
Sportwear means gear from traditional masculine sport disciplines such
as football, rugby, wresling, boxing etc.
Most popular are black boots or “heavy” black/dark shoes. Rubber boots and waders as part of rubber (or any other outfit) are obviously always ok. Sneakers are accepted if they are part of a fetich outfit, such as skinhead, rubber, sportswear or in combination with being naked. Sandals and loafers are not accepted.
The dress code is a set of guidelines for the member on duty at the door at the time. No member can demand to be let in by referring to the dress code if the doorman feels that that member is not following his interpretation of it. If a member or a guest plans on a minimal compliance with the dress code, he should be prepared to be turned away at the door.
Note that some theme nights have special dress codes that must always be respected, e.g. naked, rubber and shirt’n’tie-nights.
At all times in SLM Copenhagen, political badges, stickers or the like which depict racist, Nazi, religious or extreme political views will NOT be tolerated.
